Issue 3: "Form" Coming Soon!
To pitch a piece, email knucklebonemag@gmail.com.
We are seeking pieces of at least 800 words that think critically about rpgs (including larps and board games with rp elements). Reviews should locate games or designers in the wider ecosystem of rpgs and, ideally, the world at large. Think big thoughts but be specific.
We are not looking for: games, fiction, poetry; general articles on GM or play advice; articles about video games (unless they strongly link a video game topic to analog games).
We are currently fundraising and the following details may change. At this time, we are offering $60 for completed articles of 800 words or longer.
We are in the process of developing a Patreon with the intent of paying more in the near future. Donations made through itch.io will go to paying writers and making improvements to the magazine. So far, supporters have helped raise author pay from $50.00 to $60.00!
We are loosely organizing issues around themes. These themes are meant to be useful for generating ideas, and we invite creative interpretation of them, or exploration of counter-themes. Feel free to suggest future themes.
